If the need is simple and the cost of the AGV is lower than that of the AMR, the AGV still has its place. Otherwise, it is no longer justified.

The confusion between AGV and AMR is classic. An AGV is a device that travels on physically and mechanically defined paths. Its paths are not very changeable and it is not capable of getting around an obstacle. The AMR, for its part, carries out reconnaissance of the site by lidar (detection and estimation of the distance by laser). The AMR routes can be modified without difficulty. They are autonomous in their movement, in managing their positioning within a building and have the ability to avoid an obstacle
